Now that I know sugar is one of the ingredients that causes damage of cell, I cannot help but looking for alternatives while cooking for my 4 year old son. Here is one recipe that you can bake very fast and easy, yet delicious.
whole grain flour
butter (soft at room temperature)
semolina (if you prefer a more crispy taste)
grape molass (instead of sugar)
Mix wholegrain flour with butter until they make a soft dough. If not you can add a very tiny piece of yoghurt to make it softer. Add a tea spoon of grape molass and keep checking the taste until it is sweet enough. Make sure not to exceed the molass as it has a very distinct aroma and will ruin the cookie when too much. Finally, to make the cookie crispy add semolina as much as you prefer. Knead the dough a little and then mold pieces of cookies as you like. Put them in preheated oven at 200 C degrees for approx. 10-15 minutes. njoy! 🙂
